Myth: More Soap Means More Clean

Soap is for cleaning, correct? So it’s only natural to assume that the more soap you apply to a dirty surface, be it clothing, a counter top or carpet, the more likely the surface will get cleaner. In terms of carpet, that’s not correct.

Soap in carpet will attract dirt like a magnet, but in order to rinse out the soap a lot of water will need to be soaked into the carpet and then extracted. Often times a steam cleaner or carpet cleaner rental machine are unable to rinse out all of the soap. Soap left behind in carpet will create a lather and sticky residue and will cause instant soiling and staining in your carpet.

Avoid soap in your carpet by hiring a dry carpet cleaning professional like Nature’s Way Chem-Dry. Chem-Dry uses no soap and very little moisture as part of their process. Instead, Chem-Dry depends on the cleaning power of carbonation with fantastic results across several Wisconsin counties.

Myth: My Carpet is Stain-Resistant and Doesn’t Need Professional Cleaning

Today, most manufacturer’s treat their carpets with some form of stain-resistant technology. The stain-resistant treatment works extremely well for surface stains for the first 12 months or so after installation, but eventually the treatment will wear down, especially in high-traffic areas of your home and even still, some dirt and soil will work its way deep into the fibers.

Most carpet cleaners often their own stain-resistant or protectant solutions, including Nature’s Way Chem-Dry, to apply to your carpet as part of their deep cleaning process. You simply can’t rely on the initial stain-resistant treatment to continue to work over the lifetime of your carpet investment and will want a new application every year or so.

Myth: Cheaper is Better

As with most purchases, you get what you pay for when it comes to carpet cleaning. Not all carpet cleaners are equal and the cheaper options cost less for a reason. Cheaper carpet cleaners are likely using outdated equipment and methods that can sometimes do more harm to your carpet than good. At the very least, your carpets likely won’t look clean for long.

In the case of rental machines, you might save some money, but the process can be tiring and time consuming with results that still won’t match those of a trained, professional carpet cleaner.

Technicians at Nature’s Way Chem-Dry are equipped with years of training and courses designed to provide expert knowledge on carpet, stain removal and friendly customer services. That training combined with industry-leading equipment and solutions ensures that Chem-Dry carpet cleaners are unmatched across the country.
